The 2011 earthquakes in Canterbury have had a devasting effect on Christchurch schools. Many were closed for months, some to never reopen.
Not only was there the obvious interruption to the students education, the earthquakes have exacted a huge financial toll on individual schools and the government.
Continued support from fellow kiwis as well as the ongoing enrolment of current students is vital to the survival of many of our time-honoured institutions.
